Trump is offering undocumented immigrants $1000.00 and travel assistance if they deport themselves. Apparently one person has taken the offer, I wonder how many will. Is this just a distraction? I find it insulting to our country’s purpose of accepting immigrants.
Trump has ordered the re-opening of Alcatraz and a place for criminals. Trump wrote on Truth Social:
“For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering. When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.”
Located off of the coast of San Francisco, California Democratic congresswoman Nancy Pelosi said,
“Alcatraz closed as a federal penitentiary more than 60 years ago. It is now a very popular national park and major tourist attraction. The president’s proposal is not a serious one.”
Trump is unhinged. Let’s move on.

I am in Los Angeles for another day, visiting family. Then a stop in NYC before I head to Geneva on Wednesday. I am excited to tell you I am in an exhibition with my friend, Ann Telnaes!
