Every year, the biggest names in art, culture, fashion, film, theater, music, sports, technology, and more gather for the ultra-exclusive, invite-only event that benefits The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. From Rihanna in a canary yellow Guo Pei gown to Cardi B in a pearl-encrusted headpiece, it’s here that fashion history is learned—and made. This year, the theme is Tailored for You, in support of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” so expect to see menswear-inspired looks.
