“I’ve tested dozens of tower fans. And I hated every single one of them — until now.”

Every year, our cooling expert Thom Dunn tries to find a tower fan that isn’t terrible. And every year, he finds them “unbearable” — disappointed by their wobbly, unstable structures, paltry drafts, and highly demanding upkeep.

That is, until he met this very, very good fan. It runs so quietly, it’s almost unnoticeable. It’s energy-efficient and has a sturdy, reliable build. And … it’s also a lamp. It emits a pleasant ambient glow, ideal for brightening up awkward corners and preventing stubbed toes during midnight bathroom breaks.

Is it expensive? Yes. Worth It? Also yes, says Thom: “If you’d asked me a year ago, there’s no way I would have ever told anyone to spend $250 on a tower fan. But in that time, it has become a centerpiece of our home.”
