The above drawing does not relate to the content below… unless you think it does. Here’s something I have to share this with you, if you didn’t see it. Heather Cox Richardson reported today the following: Trump confirmed that he suddenly decided to announce he was reopening Alcatraz because the word sounded strong. “It represents something very strong, very powerful in terms of law and order. Our country needs law and order. Alcatraz is uh, I would say the ultimate, right? Alcatraz. Sing Sing and Alcatraz, the movies.... Nobody's ever escaped from Alcatraz and just represented something, uh, strong having to do with law and order. We need law and order in this country. And so we're going to look at it. Some of the people up here are going to be working very hard on that, and, uh, we had a little conversation. I think it's gonna be very interesting. We'll see if we can bring it back. In large form, add a lot. But I think it represents something. Right now, it's a big hulk that's sitting there rusting and rotting, uh, very, uh, you look at it, it's sort of, you saw that picture that was put out. It's sort of amazing, but it sort of represents something that's both horrible and beautiful and strong and miserable, weak. And it's got a lot of it's got a lot of qualities that are interesting. And I think they make a point.” His press conference today with the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, was similarly crazy. He rambled on about real estate, going into how bad Obama was managing the building of his Presidential Library (now under construction) and that he wants to “help him,” but Obama insisted on hiring DEI people who don’t do construction….etc. blahblahblah. And, of course when the Prime Minister insisted that Canada was not for sale, yet Trump said, “Never say never.” Carney briefly spoke three times in the half hour session, as Trump went off topic repeatedly. An hour before they met, Trump unloaded on social media the following: “We don’t need ANYTHING they have, other than their friendship, which hopefully we will always maintain. They, on the other hand, need EVERYTHING from us!” And, in front of the Prime Minister, he called California Governor “Newscum.” Trump said it twice, in case Carney didn’t hear it the first time. Trump’s narcissism is out of control. This I ran across this afternoon. So great.

I have only used it for when I set up the monthly zoom for paid subscribers, in order to share the link. Today I am making an exception because I want to write about something that’s on my mind and get your feedback. ... Continue reading this post for free in the Substack app |
