on... Nvidia Challenger Groq Discusses $6 Billion Valuation

Any idea why Groq is still focused on raising from VCs rather than attempting to go public, at $500MM in revenues, at Nvidia's P/S ratio that is > $10B market cap ... It never seems to get mentioned with Groq that they might be a candidate for an IPO at some point. Is there any other issue there?

A lot of the debt guys are going to get hurt. They are not used to a market moving this quickly and ASPs can collapse quite rapidly. Some of the biggest purchasers are not credit worthy although it may seem like they are.

The fact that Anthropic are not only going head-to-toe with OpenAI, but both actually doing it with a far smaller valuation and headcount *and* actually have the better models isn't reported enough I feel. It's incredible.

Combine this with huge staff losses at OpenAI recently and Altman's legal troubles it'll be interesting to see the next 12 months. No doubt OpenAI will still be the most subscribed, but will the gap in funding start to decrease?
