HPE cooperates with activist: Hewlett Packard Enterprise signed a cooperation agreement with Elliott Investment Management, which has a more than $1.5 billion stake in the company. The deal with the activist investor included the appointment of a director and the creation of a new strategic committee. Google’s Pixels: Google has scheduled a product event for Aug. 20, when it’s expected to unveil new Pixel-branded smartphones and a smartwatch ahead of Apple’s usual September iPhone unveiling. Amazon’s emissions: The e-commerce and cloud company’s carbon emissions increased for the first time in three years, growing 6% in 2024.
