A letter from our editor:
Summer always seems to fly by in a blur — the long days, spontaneous plans, packed weekends, and that nonstop energy we wait for all year. And while I genuinely love soaking it all in, I’ve noticed how easy it is to get swept up in the momentum without ever pausing to take a breath. Lately, I’ve been trying to be more intentional about slowing down and checking in with myself. (This piece has been speaking to me!) How am I actually feeling? Do I need rest? Water? A quiet moment to just be? It’s so easy to put our needs on the back burner when everything around us is moving fast — but I’ve learned that presence and joy can’t fully happen without balance.
So this season, I’ve been carving out little rituals and routines that bring me back to center. Things that help me recharge, feel grounded, and help me actually enjoy the moments in between the chaos. Below, I'm sharing my personal lifesavers — small but powerful ways to reconnect with myself and unwind, even in the middle of a very full season. I hope you’ll find some of these rituals useful for you too!
Warmly, Silsila Contributing Editor

I love a good rug to settle onto and get some stretching in after a long day — bonus points if it’s washable. |
