I hope that you are continuing to enjoy the summer time, even if it is still pretty hot out there! Below are a few calendar reminders for you to keep in mind, along with a few timely announcements.

 

If you haven't already, please make sure to sign up for a parentvue account. Over the years, the amount of information made available to parents through a parentvue account has increased tremendously. Directions to sign up, and more detailed information about parentvue online, is linked here for your convenience.

Student Online Verification/Update

Student Online Verification/Update (OVU) opens July 25, 2025

The 2025-26 Online Verification/Update (OVU) packet will be available in ParentVUE starting July 25th. The OVU packet allows parents to electronically update phone numbers, emergency contacts, health conditions, and upload immunization records for their students via ParentVUE. Electronic capture of this information improves data quality and reduces staff workload. If you haven't alreadym please sign up for a ParentVUE account so you can have direct access to your student's information.

Pre-K Program Accepting Applications

 

The FCPS PreK programs provide a high-quality early learning experience for qualifying children with economic and educational risk factors ages 3 and 4 years by September 30 who live in Fairfax County. 

Applications are accepted online, by email, or by mail or in person at our office at 7423 Camp Alger Avenue, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.

Support Your Child’s Success by Checking SIS ParentVUE

Parents and caregivers can view important information in SIS ParentVUE such as student attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores. Watch this video if you would like help creating a ParentVUE account. 

You will keep the same ParentVUE account until your student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same account. An app is also available for Apple and Android devices. 

If you already have an account, be sure to update your phone numbers and/or email addresses (in the Parent/Guardian section), so your child’s school can send you important information. Learn more about SIS ParentVUE.
