Before she became a princess, Grace Kelly was already an icon. In April 1955, she set off to Jamaica with photographer Howell Conant for a photo shoot. He was knee-deep in water. She was wearing a huge diving mask and snorkel that hid half her face. Undeterred, Conant shot photo after photo. They didn’t know it yet, but the session would soon be one of Kelly’s most talked-about shoots, and Conant’s work would go on to be admired and envied. |
