This weekend is a mixed bag when it comes to weather around Anchorage, but that shouldn't stop you from getting out to enjoy the events and entertainment on tap. From a street fair and a block party to plenty of live music, there's something for everyone this weekend.

It's overcast and raining today with a high near 59 degrees. Rain will continue overnight and there's a chance of precipitation on Saturday as well, but the forecast calls for sunny skies on Sunday. Daytime highs will climb from the 60s into the mid-70s by the end of the weekend.

Peach Holdings plans to construct a mixed-use tower with retail on the ground level, four floors of parking, and housing or hotel space above that. Business owners say they are eager to see progress after the theater was demolished in 2022, leaving an open pit in the heart of downtown.
