Best Buy has introduced a third-party marketplace on its website and app to expand the retailer's online presence and product offerings. The marketplace will feature more than 500 vendors, including Beach Camera and Antonline, and it will allow customers to return marketplace items in-store or by mail. The marketplace business model mirrors those of Amazon and Walmart, relying on third-party sellers to provide inventory, fulfillment and risk management while Best Buy collects a commission on each sale and offers advertising opportunities to sellers.
