| The Army Criminal Investigation Division, which fields security for top Defense Department officials, has had to pull agents off criminal investigations to staff weeks-long assignments guarding family homes in Minnesota, Tennessee and D.C., according to numerous officials familiar with the operation. The assignments have at times extended to residences belonging to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s former spouses, the officials said. |
