English Montreal School Board chair Joe Ortona has been cleared by an ethics commissioner of allegations he engaged in a “deliberate, co-ordinated and organized campaign” involving hate speech, bullying and racial slurs.
The Gazette's Andy Riga reports the complaint was lodged by Samara Perez, a defeated candidate in the November school board election.
The ethics commissioner agreed with Ortona that Perez displayed an “unhinged and harassing style of behaviour and communication” during and after the election campaign.
