More than 180 NSW schools have been named among Australia’s best, with students exceeding expectations in literacy and numeracy despite coming from poorer backgrounds.

Analysis of NAPLAN data across the country has revealed which schools with student populations from the least advantaged backgrounds are posting above average scores in each of the five standardised testing domains – reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy.
