OpenAI’s cloud capacity: The artificial intelligence company may let other businesses tap into its data centers and physical infrastructure needed for AI work, Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar said in an exclusive interview with Bloomberg.

Microsoft’s cyber defenses: The software company has curtailed Chinese companies’ access to advance notice about cybersecurity vulnerabilities that Microsoft plans to patch.

Intel’s major challenges: While money from SoftBank and the US government may provide a cash infusion for the chipmaker, it still needs to persuade the market its semiconductors are worth buying, and find clients for its outside manufacturing business.

Design software company Canva was valued at $42 billion in an employee stock sale, a jump of more than 30% since its $32 billion valuation a year ago. The company, based in Australia, competes with Adobe and Figma, which is now valued at $36 billion after going public last month.

The first member of the cybercrime gang known as Scattered Spider was sentenced to prison in connection with the group’s attacks, Margi Murphy reports in this week’s Cyber Bulletin. Noah Urban, 20, was sentenced to 10 years after he pleaded guilty to wire fraud and other crimes relating to 29 cryptocurrency victims and 13 companies, she writes.
