Aviation Update
Fire Boss has received Federal Aviation Administration approval for more than 11 engineering changes to its amphibious aircraft system, including a supplemental type certificate for the True Blue Power TB60 lithium-ion battery, which decreases weight by 70 pounds and produces 90% less environmental waste than lead batteries. Other changes include relocating the hydraulic pump and increasing altitude scooping capabilities.

Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 93 has secured a permanent home in a hangar at Waunakee Airport in Wisconsin after moving from various temporary locations. The chapter recently hosted a Youth Eagles Rally, allowing young people to learn about aviation. President Shane Baker emphasizes the importance of making aviation accessible to youth, noting the need for pilots and other aviation professionals. The chapter also provides scholarships to help young adults earn pilot certificates.
