The Secretary congratulated the Foreign Secretary on her new position, and they agreed to continue the long tradition of close U.S.-UK cooperation on critical issues. The Secretary underscored President Trump’s commitment to ending the Russia-Ukraine war. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary also underscored their shared commitment to ensuring that Iran never obtains or develops a nuclear weapon.
