The Senate Banking Committee voted to advance Trump economic adviser Stephen Miran's nomination to fill a vacant seat on the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors.

Democrats have been demanding that Miran resign from his job as chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers if he’s confirmed by the Senate.
