Plan Amendment 2024-I-1J (7426 Idylwood Road) Adopted Text
The 2017 Edition of the Comprehensive Plan has been updated as a result of Plan amendment 2024-I-1J, adopted by the Board of Supervisors on August 26, 2025.
2017-70 - 7426 Idylwood Road - On February 20, 2024, the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment for 7426 Idylwood Road (Tax Map Parcels 40-3 ((1)) 6, 7, 7A and 9) in the Jefferson Planning District of the Area I volume of the Comprehensive Plan in the Providence Supervisor District. The property currently contains St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The Board directed staff to consider adding an option for medium density residential development with suitable conditions related to site design recognizing retention of the existing Church.
On August 26, 2025 the Board of Supervisors adopted the 7426 Idylwood Road Comprehensive Plan amendment.
The adopted text for this amendment (adopted text No. 2017-70) can be found here. This amendment revised the following sections of the Comprehensive Plan:

1. If you maintain a paper copy of the Comprehensive Plan, please print the affected section and replace the old text in your Plan notebooks.
2. If you have "short cuts" or "favorites" on your computer that link to the Plan, be sure to refresh those links and check to be sure they link to the newest version by checking the “amended through” dates in these revised sections.
