Engage those with lived experience to reduce stigma and foster a sense of unity around mental health and suicide. Anyone who's experienced a suicidal crisis or lost a loved one to suicide brings important insights to prevention work.

September 11: Ticket to Work

September 26: Emergency Planning
Workshop for Caregivers

Arlington DHS' Aging and Disability Services and Parks and Recreation's 55+ Programs presents a practical session to help caregivers prepare for emergencies—being ready can make all the difference. You'll learn:

• Strategies for responding to natural disasters or local emergencies,
• Create personalized emergency kits and evacuation plans
• Resources to support caregiving under pressure
• Q&A and connection with fellow caregivers

If you care for aging parents or loved ones with special needs, this workshop can help you act swiftly and safely. Being prepared for disasters is crucial. Visit Medicare.gov/emergency to learn about care in an evacuation.
