That’s because in recent years, history is almost always made at the Emmys, where last year brought us both the drama series with the most wins in a single year (“Shōgun,” 18) and the comedy series with the most wins in one year (“The Bear,” 11, even though it didn’t even win Outstanding Comedy Series). Television Academy voters love to heap a lot of prizes on a few shows, and this year has some strong contenders to be on the receiving end of their largesse.
