In a move that will expand Readerlink’s footprint in library distribution, the wholesaler has agreed to acquire Baker & Taylor, which has struggled to stay profitable over the years. An appeals court has ruled that Shira Perlmutter can keep her position as U.S. register of copyrights amid her months-long legal battle against the White House’s attempt to dismiss her. The defendants in Rhode Island v. Trump were once again denied a stay of the preliminary injunction ordering a halt to the defunding of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
