Welcome Break Summer Roundup!

As the seasons shift and autumn arrives, we’re reflecting on a truly memorable summer at Welcome Break. From action-packed events to standout moments like our iconic car cake, it’s been a season to celebrate.

To mark 65 incredible years of Newport Pagnell, our oldest site, we teamed up with the brilliant Michelle Wibowo to create something truly special: a giant cake inspired by the beloved Austin Morris 1100. Weighing in at a hefty 90kg and crafted over 150 hours, it was a showstopper that our team couldn’t wait to tuck into!

In July, we proudly opened Welcome Break Hickling, our newest site located at the A46/A606 Widerpool Interchange near Melton Mowbray, Nottinghamshire. The location offers both a main and HGV fuel forecourt, a Starbucks Drive-Thru, and a selection of your favourite brands, delivering convenience and comfort on every journey.

This summer, we were honoured to award £156,000 in grants to local charities and community groups through the Welcome Break Charitable Fund. The initiative is dedicated to supporting local communities by investing in projects that create a genuine impact in the areas where our team members live and work.
