2025 Marketplace Integrity and Affordability Rule Provision Overview Part II

Description: The 2025 Marketplace Integrity and Affordability Rule (2025 PI Rule) is a federal regulation that strengthens Health Insurance Marketplace protections by preventing unauthorized enrollment changes, adding verification safeguards, and enhancing overall Marketplace standards. Primary rule provisions became effective August 25, 2025. Part II of the 2025 PI Rule overview will cover the expiration of enhanced tax credits, elimination of the 60-day extension for income data matching issues (DMI) and a short overview of the ruling in City of Columbus vs. Kennedy, where a federal District Court issued a stay blocking several provisions of the 2025 PI Rule.
