What's Happening at Walter Reed

Tech Help Desk Now Open
Drop in on Mondays from 1-3 p.m. for one-on-one help with technology questions, whether it’s uploading a file, downloading a PDF or navigating your device.

 

The program is open to 55+ members and part of the Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs’ new digital learning initiative.

 

Expanded Teen Drop-In Hours

Starting the week of October 6,  teen drop-in basketball will be available on Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m.

 

Acoustic Cafe - October 21, 7-8:30 p.m.

Celebrate and support local musicians! September: This month's show features Valeria Stewart and Kevin Dudley, with The Turnips of Doom. Shows are open to all ages: no 55+ Pass is required. Visit the Acoustic Café Facebook page for updates or schedule changes.  

 

Early voting is taking place:

October 21 – October 23 & October 28 – October 30: 2 –7 p.m.

October 25: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

October 26: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

 

Parent’s Night Out – September 24 

Need a night off? Parent’s Night Out is a fun, supervised drop-off program for kids ages 5–10, featuring games, activities, and plenty of playtime. The program runs twice a month on Fridays through May and costs $40 per participant. Click here to sign up!

Parks & Recreation classes, camps, fitness memberships, preschools, programs and more are at a price you can afford! Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Whether you have a short-term set back or something longer term, we're here to help.

 

Additionally, all Parks & Recreation programs, classes and camps can put modifications in place to promote an enjoyable and successful program experience for participants of all abilities. Advance notice is welcome. Call 703-228-4740 or email trinfo@arlingtonva.us.

 

Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center on select Saturdays to get help with registration, create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more. The DPR Administrative Services Office at Lubber Run Community Center also has extended after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 –7 p.m. for in-person assistance.
