After weeks of hands-on training and preparation, our Veterinary Science students were excited to welcome their first grooming clients this week! Their preparation has included learning safe animal handling and restraint techniques, gaining familiarity with grooming tools and equipment, and practicing proper hygiene and sanitation protocols. Our furry clients received a variety of grooming services including bathing and drying, nail clipping, and ear cleaning.
Our students strive to ensure that every dog is safe, well cared for, and gets lots of belly rubs and treats while in their care! We are proud of their hard work and excited to see their grooming skills grow throughout the school year.
Teachers for Tomorrow students rediscovered the power of play and learned how important it is in nurturing children's growth, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Our Pharmacy Technician classroom has some new equipment: a simulated medication dispensing cabinet. This cabinet has locking drawers and doors, which allow students to practice the safety aspects of medication inventory and dispensing.
Auto Collision 1 students are learning how to properly use hand tools by completely disassembling vehicles, which requires them to use different size ratchets and tools to remove a variety of nuts, bolts, and screws throughout the vehicles.
Cosmetology 2 students focused on barbering this week by practicing clipper cutting.
