Last weekend saw the modest $22.4 million opening of Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another," and while this weekend is shaping up to perform slightly better, it's largely from a filler release. Still, a "filler" piece of content from superstar pop singer Taylor Swift is something to at least pay attention to. Announced less than a month ago, "Release Party of a Showgirl" is as its name suggests, a collection of highlights and some behind-the-scenes videos of the making of Swift's latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl." As such, don't expect the film to break out like 2023's “The Eras Tour,” our Jeremy Fuster writes. That was a full-on concert film that replicated the highly coveted experience of being at a Swift show, a privilege that was not available to everyone. "Release Party of a Showgirl" will nab the hardcore fans, but for many Swifties, just having the album should suffice.
