Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams knows the success of the Bills’ offense in recent years comes down to a few guys. A few big guys. Specifically, the ones up front.
“They’re just big. They’ve got some big dudes. They kind of remind me of, like, when I was in Philly [with the Super Bowl champion Eagles] last year,” Williams said Wednesday when asked about the secret to the Buffalo offensive line. “Huge humans.”
Those “huge humans” will be tasked with clearing the way for quarterback Josh Allen on Sunday night when the teams meet. The reigning MVP, Allen is adept at creating magic behind that group, both on the ground and through the air. This season, the 6-foot-5-inch, 237-pounder has 31 carries for 159 yards — which would lead New England in rushing — and three rushing touchdowns to go along with 964 passing yards, a 70 percent completion rate, and seven passing touchdowns.
