John Lodge, singer and bassist of Moody Blues during classic era, dies at 82

John Lodge, the singer and bassist of British rock band The Moody Blues for more than 50 years, has died. He was 82.

In a statement Friday, his family said “with the deepest sadness” that Lodge died “suddenly and unexpectedly.” It added that Lodge “peacefully slipped away surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.”

Birmingham-born Lodge joined the band in 1966, two years after its formation, along with fellow singer Justin Hayward, following the departure of Denny Laine and Clint Warwick. He remained with it until it stopped performing live in 2018.

A man at a Billie Eilish concert violently yanked the famed singer-songwriter toward the crowd Thursday night during a brief but disturbing incident in Miami, viral videos of the melee showed.

Disney raises theme park ticket prices at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

It’s an expensive world after all.

The cost to visit Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida is going up.

Disney theme parks have raised the prices on single-day tickets, some annual passes and even standard parking. While the new prices take effect immediately for Disneyland in Anaheim, some increases at Orlando’s Disney World won’t begin until after October 2026.

Amid the Oscar winner’s legal battle with her ex over the sale of her interests in their once-shared French winery Château Miraval, Jolie said that neither she or their six kids — Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 17 — have visited the estate since she filed for divorce in 2016.
