
CMS IDM Customers, This message is to inform you about an unplanned outage impacting IDM services due to problems with some AWS Services this morning (Monday October 20, 2025).
The AWS Service outages started earlier in the morning just before 3:11am EDT (12:11am PDT) according to this AWS status page:

Initially, IDM services had not been impacted, however just prior to 11am EDT (8am PDT) the AWS service outages started to impact some IDM services and this in turn has caused an unplanned outage for some applications that utilize IDM HUB services (to include applications via the CMS Enterprise Portal). Note that applications that utilize IDM Okta services for authentication are not impacted by this outage. If support is needed related to this, or other CMS services, please reach out to your application's Tier 1 Help Desk. If you have questions related to this notice, contact the IDM Team. An update will be sent out as soon as the CMS IDM team has updates related to this unplanned outage.
