A large crowd gathered at Aurora’s McCarty Park on Saturday to push back against President Donald Trump and his administration, joining with other “No Kings” protests taking place across the region and country.

Aurora Mayor John Laesch wrote an email telling city police he wanted them to rethink their practices. And it included a link to a story published by an official Marxist publication.

Despite pushback from some aldermen and residents, the Aurora City Council recently approved the purchase of new jumbotrons for RiverEdge Park during its current renovation project.

The teen was taken to a nearby hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Aurora police said.
