This message is to inform you that the unplanned outage impacting some IDM services, due to problems with various AWS Services today (Monday October 20, 2025), has been resolved.

Initially, IDM services had not been impacted, however just prior to 11am EDT (8am PDT) the AWS service outages started to impact some IDM services and this in turn has caused an unplanned outage for some applications that utilize IDM HUB services (to include applications via the CMS Enterprise Portal). Note that applications that utilize IDM Okta services for authentication were not impacted by this outage.

Starting shortly before 2:00pm EDT the IDM HUB services started to become operational again as AWS restoration activities progressed and by 2:30pm EDT all errors on the IDM HUB application system side had cleared up. If there are residual impacts to other downstream applications, they could be related to other AWS service impacts that those applications may utilize; In particular, AWS had over 100 different AWS components that were impacted (and a number of those are still being restored to full functionality by AWS), however the core components that IDM utilizes are functional again as of this message. If it is the case that an application or website may still be encountering errors, it is recommended that the help desk team for that application team be contacted for further assistance specific to it.
