BOOSTERTHON

Our Zombie Run on October 16th was amazing, and we thank the families who came and supported your students and participated in the fun! We raised $19,200 with 27% of Eagle families making or soliciting donations. But we’re keeping the fundraising site open a little longer because this year we have a special partnership with Dave and Buster’s - your student will receive an HOUR of D&B playtime just for donating $5! 73% of our families have not yet participated in our fundraiser, and 10% of our registered families have not raised donations.

What do you need to do? First, register at https://mybooster.com, then give or solicit a $5 donation. Done! The play card will be delivered to your student’s class within a few days!

This is your last chance to get a D&B play card for ONLY FIVE DOLLARS!

Thank you for your support, Eagle families!

TRUNK OR TREAT AND BOOK FAIR

We had many requests to reschedule Trunk or Treat, so we had a brainstorm... With our Book Fair running November 3rd-7th, we decided to combine efforts on November 7th for a fun new event – Spooky Bites and Book Delights! EVES library will be open during Trunk or Treat, so check out this year’s fun new reads and make some sweet memories!

What is Trunk or Treat? Participants bring their Halloween decorated cars to our school parking lot. Kids walk from vehicle to vehicle, collecting candy the way they would during a normal trick-or-treating outing. We need at least 10 cars to hand out candy on November 7th from 5-6:30pm in order to hold this event. Sign up here: https://forms.office.com/r/g8dEY4i8Ud We will be holding a car decorating contest, with 1st ($100 VISA gift card), 2nd ($50 VISA gift card), and 3rd prize ($25 VISA gift card) winners. Contest rules and considerations:

  • Estimate about 200 youth.
  • Allowed treats: (Remember, candy should be cheaper after the 31st!)
    • Sealed, prepackaged candy or treats
    • Safe non-food treats include pencils, pens, erasers, glow sticks, bracelets, bookmarks, stickers, notepads, bouncy balls, and fake tattoos.
  • Trunks MUST be hosted by an adult at all times. You may not leave your vehicle unattended or provide a self-serve 'grab-and-go' treat stop.
  • Vehicles may set up between 4:20 - 5:00.
  • Participants are responsible for cleaning up their own area. Please take all trash home or deposit it into the school dumpster.
  • Displays must be appropriate for youth under 10 years of age: no excessive gore, profanity, weapons, open flames, fireworks, pyrotechnics or other dangerous items.
  • Displays can NOT be political in nature or disparage any person or group of people.
  • No weapons, open flames, fireworks, pyrotechnics or other dangerous items.
  • Electricity will not be available or provided on site.

Reflections Art Contest

reflections

EVES PTA is sponsoring the annual Reflections Art Contest. The goal of the Reflections program is to encourage all students to participate in the arts, regardless of their previous experience, and have fun unleashing their creativity. Recognizing our students’ participation and accomplishments will help our school community create memories that will last a lifetime. The Reflections program intends to grow students’ confidence in their creative vision and help students value their artistic skills. All artwork must relate to this year’s theme: “I Belong”.
