Halloween is just around the corner. Will you finish your halloween electronics project in time? If you’re stuck, here are some tips to help you get unstuck: “It doesn’t work” is a terrible description. Find out what is not working. What are you seeing? Is the power indicator LED turned off? Do you have three LEDs that supposed to flicker, but they’re not? Is your motor spinning the wrong way? 2. Why is this happening? Next, find out why it is not working. Triple check your connections. Verify your component values. Use a multimeter to measure voltages and look for suspicious (or missing) voltages around the problem area. From what you learn, create a theory about what the cause of the problem is. Test your theory and hopefully fix the problem. Sometimes you need to go a few rounds. It’s always good to talk to others about your problem. Sometimes the problem is outside of your expertise and you need input from someone with more experience. Other times, you’ll come up with the solution just from talking about the problem with someone else.
