Most people completely overhaul their workout program when they get bored.

New split. New exercises. New app.

And they wonder why they never make consistent progress.

There's a much better way to keep some variety and avoid overuse pains.

Here's an easy way to think about it.

Think of your exercises like branches:

  • The top ones are your favorites - you love them, you’re progressing, they feel great.

  • The middle ones are fine - they work, but they're nothing special.

  • The bottom ones? Those are the lifts that hurt, feel awkward, or just suck.

You don’t cut the whole tree down every few weeks.

You prune the bad branches.

Over time, your workouts become higher quality, more fun, and way more productive.
