Choosing the creative director for a legacy brand is challenging, both for the brand and for the person who’s picked. It’s hard to satisfy the public, shareholders, and everyone in between. But the biggest news in fashion this week might have done the impossible: Grace Wales Bonner was appointed as Men’s Creative Director of Hermès. “It is a dream realized to embark on this new chapter,” Bonner said in a statement. Even better is that her first collection won’t be rushed; it’s scheduled to be released in January 2027. Bonner is known for her collaborations, as well as brilliant wearable contrasts that redefine norms while following Savile Row’s suitmaking techniques. “This is how to make Hermès feel aspirational to clientele born in the past half-century,” writes news director Jake Silbert of the appointment: “hire a designer who has something to say and makes clothes that people actually want to wear.” Read more |

His current project, CART Department, aims to preserve art cars for future generations to see. Blending automobile design with artistic expression, an art car becomes “a representation of an artist’s ideology on a moving canvas. Feid’s career is a testament to dreaming big.
