Metro Cinema gives dinner and a movie a luxury upgrade
Metro Cinema has opened in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood, promising a luxury movie and dining experience. Founded by Alamo Drafthouse's Tim League, the venue offers guests the ability to book private suites for curated screenings paired with multi-course, family-style and movie-themed meals crafted by Chef Joshua Guarneri. The seasonal menu features dishes using local ingredients, such as kampachi crudo and mushroom risotto, as well as themed offerings like a "Wicked: For Good" menu and special holiday feasts.

Moxie's sees room for 100 upscale-casual units in US
Canadian restaurant chain Moxies plans to grow in the US with the goal of growing to 100 locations. The upscale-casual chain, known for its diverse scratch-made menu and vibrant atmosphere, currently has eight US units and will open seven more in the next two years, including a Washington, D.C., flagship. Moxies positions itself as a polished-casual restaurant that fills the gap between casual and fine dining.

Sweetgreen is spotlighting cauliflower in its late-fall menu, featuring dishes with roasted garlic Parmesan and romesco sauce. The seasonal offerings, available nationally through December, showcase local farm partnerships and "craveable and cozy dishes," Zipporah Allen, chief commercial officer at Sweetgreen, said in a statement.
