The Board of Supervisors of EIOPA has decided to nominate Damian Jaworski for the role of Executive Director, following an open selection procedure. Mr Jaworski is expected to take up the position on 1 April 2026, upon confirmation by the European Parliament.

The DC pensions toolkit is part of EIOPA’s ongoing efforts to advise policymakers, social partners, regulators and supervisors at a time of growing pension gaps due to population ageing and as an increasing number of pension systems transition from defined benefit to defined contribution schemes.

EIOPA releases new guidelines on diversity considerations that (re)insurers should take into account when selecting members of their administrative, management and supervisory bodies. EIOPA has issued these guidelines following a recent amendment to the Solvency II Directive that aims to promote greater diversity among entities’ decision-makers.
