Analog and digital wireless systems both transmit audio, but they do it in very different ways. Analog systems use frequency modulation and rely on a compander to manage dynamic range, while digital systems transmit 1s and 0s, delivering cleaner sound and more available channels.
Analog offers virtually zero latency, while digital provides higher fidelity and greater reliability until signal loss. Knowing the tradeoffs helps you choose the right system for your stage, studio, or broadcast setup.
Your studio monitors are only as accurate as the room they’re in. In this video, you’ll learn how to measure your room’s frequency response and apply corrective EQ for balanced, reliable monitoring. Using an RME Fireface UCX II and SoundID Reference, you’ll see how hardware-based room correction can eliminate problem frequencies and improve translation across systems.
