Your skills aren't the problem, Andrew Niepodam... Your work ethic isn't the problem, either. Hell, even your pricing isn't the real problem. The problem is the invisible filter sitting between you and your ideal clients. And until you remove it, You'll keep wondering why other people with "less talent" are making way more money than you. Let me explain what I mean… You see, every potential client has a built-in spam detector in their brain. When they scroll through social media… Check their DMs… Or browse through profiles… They're subconsciously filtering out 95% of what they see. They're looking for reasons to ignore you, not reasons to hire you. Most people get filtered out instantly because they trigger one (or all) of these red flags: Red Flag #1: They sound like everyone else "I help businesses grow" "I build automations" "I build websites that convert" Vague. Generic. Forgettable. When you sound like everyone else, you get treated like everyone else - ignored. Red Flag #2: They talk about themselves, not the client's problem "I have 5 years of experience" "I learned automation from this guy" "I'm passionate about helping people" Yes it’s a cool story... But what's in it for them? As harsh as it sounds, clients don't give a single shi* about your journey. They only care about their destination. Red Flag #3: They have no visible proof No case studies. No client wins. No evidence they can actually deliver. Just trust me bro energy. Now, here's how to remove this ‘invisible’ filter. Step 1: Be obnoxiously specific Instead of "I help businesses with marketing," say exactly WHO you help and with WHAT specific problem. "I help coaches book 10-15 sales calls per week using organic Twitter" Now you're not competing with every marketer on the planet. You're the ONLY person who does that specific thing for that specific person. Step 2: Lead with their pain, not your credentials Your opening line should make them think "Holy shit, this person gets it." Bad: "I'm a copywriter with 5 years of experience" Good: "Most coaches have great content but can't turn followers into clients. Here's why..." See the difference? One is about you. One is about them. Step 3: Make proof your entire personality Every piece of content should scream "I've done this before and I can do it again." Share client wins. Break down results. Show the before/after. When someone lands on your profile, they should immediately think "This person knows their sh*t" And once you remove this filter? You stop being invisible. Instead of sending 50 DMs with no response, you send 10 and book 3 calls. Instead of posting content that gets ignored, you post content that gets shared. Instead of competing on price, you're the obvious choice. Until next time, Mike |
