Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

What a wonderful week we had at Eagle View! Last Monday, we began the week with our annual Veterans Day Celebration, honoring the brave veterans and active-duty service members within our community. We were truly humbled to welcome eighteen Eagle View veterans and service members to our school. Their presence gave our students a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude and learn about the importance of service and sacrifice.

We also want to celebrate an exciting moment for one of our own staff members—on Friday, Teacher Wright, our PE teacher, was surprised by her professor from George Mason University with the Virginia AHPERD Graduate Scholarship. Please join us in congratulating Teacher Wright on this outstanding achievement!

We wrapped up the week recognizing our Reveur House. Congratulations to the House of Dreamers for earning the most points for the month of October!

A few reminders:

  • This Wednesday (11/19) is a three-hour early release day.  We kindly ask that families avoid making dismissal changes on Wednesday itself, as last-minute adjustments create confusion and can impact our ability to ensure a safe dismissal for all students.
  • We are looking forward to welcoming families to our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 24 and 25. We hope you’ll join us for this special Eagle View tradition.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

Sincerely,

KJ An

Principal

Apply Anytime for Free and Reduced-Price Meals

Families are encouraged to apply for free and reduced-price meals at any time during the school year.

If your income changes — for example, due to a furlough, layoff, or job loss — you may become newly eligible. Once approved, your benefits stay active for the rest of the school year and for the first 30 days of the next school year.

Students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals or attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school receive free breakfast and lunch every school day. It’s a great way to make your food budget go further and save time from packing meals. Learn more about FCPS Food and Nutrition
