This week, the intersection of Military Road and Nelly Custis Drive will reopen to vehicle traffic.
Traffic Flow Changes
The intersection will work in a wish-bone configuration, with stops at all three approaches. All lanes and sidewalks will be open.
Planned Utility Work
In this next phase of the project, utility companies will remove their old wires, poles, and equipment, and switching services to the new underground facilities built at the start of construction. The utility companies will coordinate with each other and the County to work through the limited space of the project area.
Looking Ahead
After utility work is complete, roundabout construction will resume. Please obey all "No Thru Traffic" and other signs, for the safety of yourself and others. To learn more, visit the project page.
If you've ever thought to yourself "This could be different" or "This should be better" or "I love this, we need more," then now is your chance to tell us what should be different or better or more.
Now is Your Chance
Tell Arlington County your thoughts about our draft policies that will guide transportation planning for the next early future; give us your priorities for what ways of getting around are important to you so they're not neglected; tell us if you want more curbside parking, better delivery drop-off space, or another use at the curb.
Don’t miss your chance to help plan for the future of transportation in Arlington! The last day to share your feedback is December 7. Learn more about how to get involved at arlingtonva.us/TransportationFuture.
