A letter from our editor:
Can you believe it’s already December?! As the holidays kick into full gear, I’ve been reflecting on my year and how deeply it has changed my life. The last decade was a whirlwind of high highs and low lows — years of putting my own needs on the back burner to keep the peace or meet others’ expectations. But this year, I’ve finally learned what it feels like to protect my peace, create a true sanctuary for myself, and set loving, healthy boundaries with both myself and others.
I truly believe one of the biggest keys to a happy, healthy life is your environment. What we’re exposed to every day has a direct impact on our mood, energy, and how we move through the world. That’s why I’ve made it a priority to curate a home that supports my physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The holidays bring so much joy — gatherings, gifts, delicious food — but in the midst of it all, I’ve learned how to stay grounded and meet my own needs while still holding space for the people I love.
How I care for my space feels like a reflection of how I care for myself, and that mindset has never felt more important. So, here are some of the designs, decor ideas, and DIYs I’ve been working on this holiday season — little projects that are bringing me joy, sparking my creativity, and helping me welcome my circle into a home that truly feels like me.
Warmly, Silsila Contributing Editor

DESIGN
There’s no better way to add mood-boosting color to your space than with your dinner plate. I’ve been scouring thrift shops and this guide for chip-free ceramic bowls and plates.

DECOR
I love this creator’s take on creating a “Ralph Lauren Christmas.” Using what we already have to decorate in new ways truly does make the holidays even more special.

DIY
I came across these “sew-your-own” reusable gift bags and I'm obsessed! It’s the perfect holiday craft project — each set makes ten bags and they’re reusable. Genius!
