Bombardier celebrates first delivery of Global 8000 jet
Bombardier has delivered the first Global 8000 business jet, which has a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.95. The inaugural customer, Patrick Dovigi, received the aircraft in a ceremony at Bombardier's completion center near Toronto. "This revolutionary aircraft is redefining the business aviation landscape with its innovative design, signature smooth ride, unmatched performance and a promise fulfilled to our customers," says Bombardier President and CEO Eric Martel.

Aerotron's "Project Wing" advances at Ga. airport
Aerotron's aircraft reclamation facility, Project Wing, is progressing at the Lagrange/Callaway Airport in Georgia after overcoming two years of delays, primarily due to concerns from the Federal Aviation Administration. The facility has been downsized from 270,000 square feet to 70,000 square feet, with 100,000 square feet of open apron space for aircraft as large as a Boeing 737 to be dismantled and recycled.

ERP works to grow Air Wing for enhanced wildlife patrols
Elephants, Rhinos & People is working to expand its Air Wing by acquiring more aircraft for aerial patrols in Namibia. The initiative will enhance the organization's capability to monitor and protect elephants and rhinos across large conservation areas. The expansion builds on ERP's previous use of drones, and the new fixed-wing aircraft will directly support anti-poaching and herd monitoring efforts.

As part of his DreamLaunch Tour, Jamail Larkins, the Federal Aviation Administration Ambassador for Aviation & Space Education, visited Fort Worth, Texas, to share aviation opportunities with students. Sponsored by Tempest Aero, this tour stop allowed over 700 students to learn directly from Larkins and industry professionals about various pathways in aviation, from piloting to maintenance, sparking excitement and raising awareness about the industry's future.
