This ebulletin contains information relating to plant protection products (PPPs) in Great Britain (GB).

Applications sift for PPPs: Holiday period 2025/26

In line with arrangements used in previous years for the applications sift for PPPs, HSE will use the following arrangements over the Christmas and New Year holiday period for 2025 to 2026.

HSE will continue to receive electronic applications over the holiday period and normal sift closure dates will be applied as detailed below.

Applications accepted for further evaluation following these sifts will be given acceptance and target dates according to the relevant sift date as shown.

Please be aware, letters notifying applicants of acceptance or rejection of their applications from sift of 16 December will be sent prior to Christmas. However, those from sifts of 23 and 30 December will not be sent until after completion of the sift of 6 January 2026.

Sift of 16 December 2025

  • sift closure date Tuesday 9 December 2025 at 6pm
  • applications accepted following this sift will have a target date calculated from 16 December 2025

Sift of 23 December 2025

  • sift closure date Tuesday 16 December 2025 at 6pm
  • applications accepted following this sift will have a target date calculated from 23 December 2025

Sift of 30 December 2025

  • sift closure date Tuesday 23 December 2025 at 6pm
  • applications accepted at this sift will have a target calculated from 30 December 2025


Sift of 6 January 2026

  • sift closure date Tuesday 30 December 2025 at 6pm
  • applications accepted at this sift will have a target calculated from 6 January 2026 


Please note:

  • applications to be submitted via email to pppapplications@hse.gov.uk
  • HSE cannot accept Application submissions made via USB sticks and CD’s
  • applications that are too large to be sent by email should be submitted via Citrix ShareFile
  • any requests for upload links to ShareFile should be sent to pppapplications@hse.gov.uk
