Trustees of the San Diego Unified School District are set to vote on a proposal by Albert Einstein Academies to replace its German language immersion program with a German language instruction mode because of changes in student demographics and a shortage of German teachers. The charter school, which plans to delay the opening of its high school until 2028, says the immersion program hasn't been consistently aligned in grades K-5.
