Hey Snackers,

Are we living in post-peak Roblox? JPMorgan seems to think so, predicting the rise of the blocky metaverse platform is over, as viral hits like “Grow a Garden” and “Steal a Brainrot” are in decline and there’s nothing new on the horizon. Additionally, Russia’s upcoming ban of the platform and the facial age estimation rollout coming soon may “negatively impact platform engagement in the short term.” The creator of the platform never meant for it to be a kids platform, so perhaps it’s time for Roblox to grow up if it wants to keep growing.

All three major US stock indexes were negative on Friday as AI jitters dragged the market down. Tech was the worst-performing sector ETF by far and sank the Nasdaq 100 nearly 2%. The S&P 500, which just notched a closing all-time high, gave up all those gains and more to end down for the week.
