For Hailie Jade McClintock, it’s been a year of losing herself in the moment.

Eminem‘s daughter welcomed son Elliot Marshall McClintock on March 14, her first child with husband Evan McClintock. So, while this Christmas (not to mention Hailie’s 30th birthday Dec. 25) is destined to be special, it’s already been the epitome of a life-changing time.

Taylor Swift opened her heart and purse strings, inking seven-digit checks to various charities fighting hunger, cardiovascular disease and the struggles of fellow artists, the non-profit groups said Tuesday.

The “’tis the damn season” singer gave $1 million to Feeding America, another $1 million to the American Heart Association and a “generous donation” to the recording academy’s MusiCares, according to separate statements by those charities on Tuesday.

“We remain ‘Fearless’ in our relentless commitment to prevent heart disease” and help Americans long live, the century-old AHA said in a statement.

The film academy’s nearly 10,000 voting members will soon cast their Oscars ballots in more than 20 categories, including a new one recognizing achievement in casting. The nominees for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on Jan. 22, with the ceremony to follow on March 12.
