Tyler Perry sued for sexual assault by ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween' actor seeking $77 million

Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault by an actor who appeared in “Boo! A Madea Halloween,” marking the second lawsuit in recent months accusing the filmmaker and studio mogul of leveraging his power in Hollywood to make sexual advances.

Mario Rodriguez filed the lawsuit Thursday in California, alleging Perry subjected him to repeated unwanted sexual advances over several years, including sexual battery and assault at Perry’s Los Angeles home. Rodriguez is seeking at least $77 million in damages and also has sued Lionsgate, which distributed the 2016 film, accusing the studio of turning a blind eye to Perry’s alleged misconduct.

Lionsgate did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

Perry Bamonte, guitarist and keyboardist for The Cure, dies at 65

Perry Archangelo Bamonte, longtime guitarist and keyboardist for the influential goth band The Cure, has died. He was 65.

The band made the announcement on their official website on Friday.

“It is with enormous sadness that we confirm the death of our great friend and bandmate Perry Bamonte, who passed away after a short illness at home over Christmas,” the band wrote.

‘Big Brother' star Mickey Lee dies at 35 after cardiac arrests from flu complications

“Big Brother” alum Mickey Lee died on Thursday after suffering multiple heart attacks following flu complications, according to her family. She was 35.

Lee’s family announced her death on Friday, or what they called her “transition,” making a statement on the former “Big Brother” star’s Instagram account.

“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,” they wrote. “She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen.”

Snoop Dogg brought out K-pop, country and opera stars for memorable holiday halftime show

The rapper performed at Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium with country star Lainey Wilson and HUNTR/X of “Kpop Demon Hunters” fame. Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo, came out and joined them all to sing “White Christmas.”

“Elmo loves your outfit Mr. Snoop Dogg!” the account for Elmo wrote.

“The Netflix/Snoop Dogg halftime show is better than the last three Super Bowl halftime shows combined,” raved one fan.
