Your Budget-Friendly Gym Guide
Plus other low-cost fitness options
Resolve to get healthier this year? Hitting the gym regularly is a great way to do it. But memberships can be expensive. In 2023, the average facility dues were $65 per month, according to the 2024 U.S. Health & Fitness Consumer Report from the Health & Fitness Association. Membership costs, however, can vary widely. Luxury clubs can cost hundreds of dollars per month, but many gyms are pretty reasonable — as low as $9.99 monthly.
We recently updated our list of cheap gym memberships for the new year. Our round-up includes six chains with fees well under the average, plus other ways to move more on the cheap, so you can keep your resolution — and budget — intact.
